Meet our Ministry Team

Rev.
Roger Smith comes to us from the United Kingdom. Initially
he worked in the British Health System as a Radiological
Technologist. He became the manager of a large x-ray department having
achieved the equivalent to a Masters Degree.
Then Pastor Smith changed his career focus to the education sector,
after training as a teacher, he became the Principle of the center for
training Radiological Technologists in the Southampton area. As
a Christian, Pastor Roger served as Deacon, Treasurer and then as an
Elder in his Southampton Church. In 1989 he was called to full time
ministry and trained at Spurgeon's College in London. Pastor Roger has for over
11 years, been the Minister in charge of a Church in Surbition in
the suburbs of London. Roger

Margaret
Smith comes to us from the United Kingdom. She has served along side of her husband in ministry for over 30 years. Margaret has nursing qualifications in general, orthopedics and psychiatric nursing. She has had training in various aspects of children's work. Margaret has utilized her skills by putting them into practice alongside her husband in ministry at various churches. She is particularly gifted in the implementation and coordination of new ministries, especially children and family ministry. Margaret

Pastor Shelly A. Zook Administrative Assistant |
Pastor Shelly Zook,
a bi-vocational
Pastor which serves as the Administrative Assistant at First
Baptist Church. She supports both the Senior and Associate Pastor, as
well as, the Ministry Team, 26 different Church Officers, boards and committees. She also
publishes First Baptists weekly newsletter "the Vision" and maintains our website. She has continued her education through Indiana Institute of Technology-Advanced Study Program and has completed the American Baptist requirements for the Certified Lay Ministry program. She is currently pursuing a Diploma of Pastoral Studies at Franklin College. Pastor Shelly is a licensed minister and she joined our ministry team in the Spring of 1998.
She has been married to Robert for 17 years and they have
three sons.

Pastor Kristie Hoffman |
Pastor Kristie Hoffman, a member of the Ministry Team at First Baptist, leads our
Senior Adult Ministries. She received
a Bachelor of Science degree
in Home Economics from
Pastor Kristie completed the
Certified Lay Ministry program and is a licensed pastor. She feels
called to work with senior adults and is looking to expand the
opportunities for fellowship, discipleship, and evangelism for the senior
adults at First Baptist, as well as, the community in which she serves.
